The water is in their shelters inside of the enclosures. There are also rivers in the area where they go walking if there's been enough rain.

Albino-ish lions. :-( I know that we are taught to think that that's a thing of beauty but, I can't see it. I see it as some malfunction that we for some reason try and nurture. they pretty much don't exist without the aid of human interaction. For some reason, it just doesn't seem right.

This is a sanctuary. These animals were born in captivity at a canned hunting farm and were rescued by Kevin. If it weren't for him they'd be in far worse conditions and most likely dead. Some of the lions have medical problems. Take George for example who has metabolic bone disease, he can't run or jump well and his claws don't grow correctly. Kevin tries to make their lives as authentic to the wild as possible via large areas, longs walks, opportunity to hunt, etc. He takes good care of them. He even has a foundation that is preserving wild habitat. He genuinely cares about them.

Im assuming this is your first visit to the channel. Thor was standoffish because he was hungry. Majority of the time they like Kevin's attention and will rub against him and sit with him. This is a sanctuary. These animals were born in captivity at a canned hunting farm and were rescued by Kevin. If it weren't for him they'd be in far worse conditions and most likely dead. Some of the lions have medical problems. Kevin tries to make their lives as authentic to the wild as possible via large areas, longs walks, opportunity to hunt, etc. He takes good care of them. He even has a foundation that is preserving wild habitat. He genuinely cares about them.

You can tell Kevin truly loves his lions and everything he does is genuine. Other caretakers feed their animals snickers before filming so they're always a lot calmer and easier to use for content. Keep up the good work!

They were never captured. Some of the lions have medical problems. Take George for example who has metabolic bone disease, he can't run or jump well and his claws don't grow correctly. Kevin tries to make their lives as authentic to the wild as possible via large areas, longs walks, opportunity to hunt, etc. He takes better care of them compared to most places that have lions.

@Silus Hence why I said usually. Im not claiming that they have a one dimensional personality, no one does. Of course their moods are going to fluctuate. People's moods fluctuate as well. But more often than not an individual is going to have a behavior or part of a personality that is usually consistent. For both people and lions. If you look at any other video that Thor is in you'll see that he usually just walks around minding his own business and occasionally greets Kevin or another lion. He's not usually as grumpy as this video shows but because of the conditions(being hot and hungry) he was a little irritated compared to his usual self.

They all have their own personalities and often times are very happy to see him as they come up to greet him with friendly noises and rubbing. Has nothing to do with what species he happens to be. Lions can be happy.

This poor lion was just doing what a male lion instinctively does. He was listening for other lions roars and scent marking “his territory.” It’s funny how this guy kept calling Thor rude, when in reality he’s the one trying to deter Thor from what his instincts are telling him to do.
