Hi, the kittens are weighed twice a day, and if they do not gain a specific amount, they receive supplemental feeding. Mom Port is receiving the calories she needs but would take more time to plump up because she is feeding a large litter, and she comes from a shelter where she may have arrived underweight. Once kittens are weaned, moms usually put on weight, and some are just lanky. No need to worry. The caregivers at KA go out of their way to help their charges, and although concern for them sometimes prompt us to act rashly, opinions can be put forward graciously.
All boys? My ginger girl Clover was the ONLY girl in a litter of NINE. A neighbor was taking the Mom & litter to the shelter. My son brought her home asking if we could keep her. I asked him & his best friend to find homes for her brothers. It took them 3 hours. Her Mom came home with us until we found her a home. Gingers are the best. Clover will be 8 this July. I love her so much. Such sweethearts! You are so lucky to have all these sweeties!
Another great kitten Closeup at kitten Academy and seeing all of these kittens has caused plenty of Cuteness Overload going on here. and it just melted my heart seeing Rotterdam curled up in your lap asleep. I just LOVE ❤️ all of these kittens and their mom Port so much and also Flour and her kids. They’re all growing up so fast and will be adopted before much longer. Millet with flat chest will definitely need some medical intercession. I had a kitten like that and I was glad we got him to the vet. There are several ways to surgically help this little one. Keep us posted and all of these kittens are just precious

Toward the end of the video when the babies all woke up and came back to Mr A, it was such a sweet little chorus between kitten complaints and mama reassuring them. The little conversations Port has with her babies is so precious. I could listen to her all day 🧡

I’ve raised a lot of kittens, and that meow sounds desperate. They sound like they’re hungry. Are you giving them canned food now? I think they either need to nurse again or have a little canned food mixed with some kitten formula.
So outside your cat would be liable to be run over by a car, eaten by predators like coyotes or mauled by dogs, if not spayed and neutered... females would get pregnant hence contribute to the unwanted kitten problems or into fights over territory..oh not too mention kill the local wildlife. There's multiple reasons why adoption agencies make indoor only a rule for cat adoptions and why cat runs are amazing because a cat can still go outside and be safe.
Hi, there are currently eleven kittens from two groups. The ginger family, the Port Oranges, with mom Port and seven babies, the tabby family, the Bready Bunch, with mom Flour and four kittens.
