Looks like 50-60 growth rings. Kind of a shame, but itโ€™s only because I live in a city and we want more trees.

I count of 54 years :) that is a good spot for the tree if it could grow a half inch a year! The skinnier outer ones were also because it is getting to be so large, it takes more to grow each year since the surface area (cumcomferance) is wider, and the tree is taller!

I really enjoy your videos. Iโ€™d hate for there to be a preventable accident that caused you to quit making them. I was a logger for a while in my youth and became well acquainted with the dangers of unexpected springback and widowmakers. Your broken windshield should have been a wakeup call about your vulnerability while doing this type of work. With the amount of timber clearing work you do, I would urge you to get some more protection around that cab.

You know, you do so much clearance work, have you ever given thought to some kind of big mulcher or something? Something that'd eat up the trees a bit more quickly and easily than stacking them all up, burning them, then burying them? I have no idea how much such a beastie would cost, I don't imagine they're cheap...

I am just a viewer but here are my top videos, fire, water, and ponds. Also, love watching you take down trees. I wish I knew more about dirt-moving because it seems so slow at times but all I have to relate is me in my sandbox with my Tonka toys. Taking the muck out of ponds seems so inefficient. Keep up the videos!
